SS, you mentioned it before but how do you determine those secondary timings? I guess those are normally on auto?

Hey guys sorry took so long to get back to you. I have been real busy and since my last post a lot has changed. I updated my Asus Rampage IV Extreme to the latest bios version 4804 from 4802 and while doing so I lost all my saved overclock profiles in my bios for 24/7 and benchmark use. I was going insane but it turned out to be a good thing being that I did them so long ago.

I had to redo all of my overclock settings from the ground up and it took me hours to remember how I originally had everything set everything up for maintain stability and performance. I had to rerun bench's and test the clocks over again but it was worth it. It yielded better performance #'s in the long run and much better temperatures. During this process I ended up getting frustrated with some temps I had with certain settings so I removed my heatsink and applied some fresh Noctua NH-D1 Thermal paste and it made a difference.

4.7Ghz 24/7 1.4v overclock 100% stable and tested
G.Skill PC3-17000 16 GB DIMM 2133 MHz 9-11-10-28-1T
this clock works with speedtest on or off depending on your preference.

and for the first time ever . . .

4.8 Stable 1.42 max temps 78c
G.Skill PC3-17000 16 GB DIMM 2133 MHz 9-11-10-28-1T

I usually run the 4.7 for 24/7 and the 4.8 for benchmarks!

3d mark is giving me issues with Windows so when I resolve it I will post more.

So.. i'm going MAD biggrin.gif

I thought i found a stable offset build for 4,7 (+115 with 1.360 full load vcore , 2133 ram) .. it passed 12 hours Prime 95, 8 hours Lynx and 8 hours IntelBurn Test max stress.

Than i try OCCT and ... in 2 minutes error detected. It's not even i had BSOD or reboot... it just stop working (window pops saying OCCT.exe stop working) and on occt interface it says error detected.

Now question is, how can it be? Is occt reliable for ivy e ?
I mean it's very strange i was able to pass so many other tests hours and than this one detect errors in 2 min.

Vcore tells you vcore

VID tells you VID

VID isn't actually a voltage tongue.gif

Cyro..you are right, i miss somenthing (well it was 2 posts up but anyway)...

Basically i'm trying to deal with offest... and as far as i undertood a + offset means an X value will be add to your vid...

Now.. if my cpu vid is 1.221 .. and my offset settings is +0.115 ... it should results into a 1.336 full load vcore... so how it comes to 1,360?

Vcore isn't that specific for most cpu's, especially with high power draw, there's quite a bit variance and you can modify it with LLC

But, is it stable in Prime 95?
