But, what's interesting from this figure is that one has to know that degradation does happen and will result in higer V for the same OC over time. I've read on this thread that some guys already encountered degradation of their I74930K in a very short period of time...

So, I conclude it's best to OC only to the point of what is needed now, so you'll have
less degradation = more OC room for later when you do need it!
(unless of course you're planning to buy a new chip in 2/3 years time anyway rolleyes.gif)

In my case, I OC'ed at 4.4Ghz @1.31V while I only need 4.25Ghz for now.
To reach 4.25Ghz I need 1.21V, so with this information I'm now going for that...

Thank you too Xerxies 12, because your 'conservative OC-question' made me reconsider my own OC thumb.gif

I run offset mode, and unless doing benchmarks or stress testing, it rarely goes over 1.152 volts. Even while playing some games it stays around there. When running benchmarks it will stay at 1.344 or 1.360. Like I said, any other time it's always below 1.2v I personally am not worried about any degradation. Maybe in 5 years it will require more voltage, but honestly, by then, it will probably be re-purposed and running at stock settings...
