Are you running offset mode or manual mode?

Below 1.35V and 75 C I don't think there would soon be a problem...

But do you really need 4.5Ghz now?

I game @120 FPS and my load is max 90% @ 4.25Ghz

Maybe in 5 years it will require more voltage, but honestly, by then, it will probably be re-purposed and running at stock settings...

Nice chip you've got, lots of room for degradation biggrin.gif

Yea.. 4.5 @1.344 under load and barely hits 70 LinX/prime with an h100i at 1800rpm stock fans. I'm pretty happy with it. Using +.05 offset. My usual upgrade cycle is 8 to 12 months, so no degradation worries biggrin.gif

8-12 months uh smile.gif notice you run 2 cards, so you'll need 4.5Ghz...

AIO cooling, happy with that?

But, what's interesting from this figure is that one has to know that degradation does happen and will result in higer V for the same OC over time. I've read on this thread that some guys already encountered degradation of their I74930K in a very short period of time...

So, I conclude it's best to OC only to the point of what is needed now, so you'll have
less degradation = more OC room for later when you do need it!
(unless of course you're planning to buy a new chip in 2/3 years time anyway rolleyes.gif)

In my case, I OC'ed at 4.4Ghz @1.31V while I only need 4.25Ghz for now.
To reach 4.25Ghz I need 1.21V, so with this information I'm now going for that...

Sounds like there first OC was not stable.

Actually I'm quite surprised with the h100i. I had a $75 gift card from BB and they had if on sale for $94 so I couldn't pass if up. Keeps temps near or under 70C at load with LinX/prime95 small FFT's. I run the fans on the "standard" setting in the BIOS PWM CPU fan. So, the fans spin around 700rpms idle and 1800rpms under synthetic load. It's not loud IMHO..

Offset mode is a strange beast smile.gif

I'm testing 4,6 at +0.070 right now on my main, and it looks as if its stable at the moment(i'm currently at 12th hour under prime) with a 1.280 vcore full load.

On the other hand on this Pc (sabertooth z77, 2600k, corsair vengeance 1600 2x4g) i'm running with 4,4 using -0.005 offset.. and well.. full load vcore is 1,32.

Anyway..offset is the way smile.gif
1.28v for me is 0.010-15+ lol.
Offset is applied to a dynamic VID (DVID) which is dependant on CPU and Multiplier. For that reason its no point stating offsets, only load vcore matters.
