Good cases for HDD's?

Thread Starter
I've currently got my filesharing server in the Fractal Design Array R2, but I've hit the HDD capacity at six drives, and will soon be needing an upgrade.

I'm going to use the parts from my current PC, as I'm upgrading that too, so I can do a little more with it.
Anyway, I'm looking for some cases that'll hold a high amount of HDDs, probably 12+, so I'm looking for recommendations.

I've currently narrowed it down to two, the Fractal Design Define XL R2. Or the Lian Li PC-A76X.

The Define holds 8, as standard, but you can mount a four drive bay where the bottom fan would normally go, on top of that it also has 4 optical drives for potentially more HDD space.

The Lian Li natively holds 12 as standard (I prefer this as every HDD would have a fan in front of them, whereas with the Fractal, the option HDD bay wouldn't). But, it holds only two optical bays and is more expensive.

Anybody have experiences with either of these cases? And I'd appreciate it if anybody else had any more case recommendations.

I'd also like to avoid the likes of a £300 case, I know Lian Li do a 22 HDD bay case, but, that's a little more than I want to pay (and I doubt I'd use that many).

Another option would be the Xigmatek Elysium, which holds 12 HDD's. However, these bays are shared with the 5.25 bays, so you can only have one or the other. Another option would be to use this case and to use a few 4-in-3 drive cages, which would bump up your storage to 16 drives.
