Let me explain how this doesn't work. Not why it won't work; you'll all just TL:DR.
Star Trek: TNG came out in 1987. They had communication devices that looked like tablets, like iPads. The idea was there. The design was there.
Could you get an iPad in 1987? No. Could you build an iPad in 1987? No. Not for any amount of money. You could spend ten million dollars, and still not get something even remotely comparable to the tablets in TNG.
When did we get the iPad? 2010. That's 23 years later. Why'd it take so long? Were people lazy? Uninterested? Stupid? Was it because the engineers were all saying it couldn't be done? No.
We didn't have iPads in 1987 because the technology to build them did not exist. Heck, the technology to build the technology to build the technology needed to make iPads had not yet been invented.
Once the technology did exist, do you know what happened? The engineers stopped saying "this is impossible" and started saying, "Oh yeah, we have the tech to build this now, let's do it." Before the technology was there, it could not be done. Once the tech arrived, the iPad was made almost as soon as it was possible.
iPads are not impossible. But they were pretty damn impossible in 1987
Same thing with this thing. This thing is theoretically possible. But it is impossible in 2013, and 2014, and 2015, and probably 2020. We lack the technology to make the technology to make the technology to make this possible. Maybe we'll see something like this in 2036. But we won't see it soon, no matter how much money you throw at it. And money thrown at it now will probably not make it happen any sooner.
