Battlefield 4 ~ What graphics card are you using? - Page 28

Finally got around to installing my 2nd 7970m, I updated the drivers to the latest AMD Drivers, and tried the game, other than a really long load in time, the game ran smooth, mid 80s-90s on auto settings which was a mix of high and ultra @1080p then capped it at 60 FPS without issues. Got to play for maybe half an hour only though. pretty good looking game, and game play is pretty fun

Semi-Off topic question:

Does MSI overlay work for BF4?

I tried using the BF4 console, but it's buggy and I can't see what I'm typing.

I tried "PerfOverlay.DrawFps", but doesn't work. I might have to set to true, but I can't see the command line while it's flashing and glitching.

"List" doesn't disappear a s well, I think after I relaunch it, it should reset, gotta check tonight.

A GTX 770 will run about equal to your 580's with adding the extra VRAM. Ideally, you'll want to go for at least a GTX780 for it to be a definitive upgrade, and it's looking like 3gb of RAM is the ideal amount of VRAM heading forward.

Crossfire 7950's would be better bang for the buck if you're prepared to go that route - actually, probably the best value option these days. Could get a pair of 7950's for around $400 or so with the sales as the new AMD cards fast aproach. I'd say you'll get near $250 for your 580's. Not a lot out of pocket for a butt-load more performance.

As for me, I'll be running my sig-rig: overclocked 7850 @ 1080p. I've not tried the beta yet, but from what I've read I'll be shooting for a combination of high/ultra without AA. Might try and squeeze some more clocks out of my CPU and GPU - take the side panel off my case and blast the guts with a fan - but I'm fairly comfortable with lowering the settings here and there, along with playing at 40-50fps average, as I'm not competitive in my gaming.

I get 40 (lowest) - 110 (highest) fps with i5 2500K @ 4.5ghz and 7970 @ 1050/1500, Ultra, no AA. Average around 55fps in intensive scenes 80fps in open areas.
