Bootetime raid o vs non raid, what is fastest?

So i have updated my rig with a intel 335 240 gb (waiting for it to arrive).

Now my 2x120gb kingston hyper x 3k is set up in raid 0, only one kingston ssd used for drive c, os took about 30 sec with log in i have to type, reboot about 42-45 sec, now with atto it starts up slow in write, fast in read and half way thru the test my score for both read and write went beyond 1000mb and until the test is finished never goes under 1000mb.

My boot time is now about 5-10sec slower then with one ssd (i use the intel sata 3 ports all the time for my drive c,os).

Why is my pc slower in raid 0 than with only one ssd, even when something else has to start in raid 0 that dosn't start in a non raid system, i would have thought that raid o always is faster then non raid, i for ones never have had a boote time of 15-20 (+ 5-10 sec for typing my password). My mb is a Msi Z77-G45 Thunderbolt,i5 3470 running at 3.800ghz all the time (can't get it to run 4.0 ghz with enhanced turbo off, multiplier is x40) 8gb ram, windows 7 64 and the newest intel drivers.

Will my new intel 335 240gb ssd in raid 0 be faster then my 2x120gb kingstons hyper x 3k, if i in the next few month find another almost new intels 335 240gb ssd, wil that be the fastest of the 2 ssd's i have to use as a drive c,os,boote drives? (almost every 240 gb is faster then there little 120gb brother, sister but if it's 2 different brand will a 240 gb ssd still be faster, i don't know?)

I know theres some programs to test bootetime, is there any one you would recommend me to try?

Don't you mean "Why is my pc slower in raid 0 than with only one ssd"

Are you trying to run a single drive as a raid array?
