Ultra High Res Laptops? - Page 2

I just found out about the Lenovo Yoga Pro 2. It might be the one.
3200 x 1800
512 GB SSD
4th-gen Intel Core i7 ULT
$1100

My only complain is that it rocks the Windows logo on the front. Other than that it might be what I want.

Yeah i forgot about that my bad.
Most consumer laptops we have been seeing are ULV with those screens.

Your looking at around 1500 for that set up you listed. Highly doubt a 512GB SSD ultrabook with Haswell will be 1100.
i3 or i5, 4GB, 128GB SSD for 1100 then upwards from there is more reasonable. 1100 for a 1800p Laptop is pretty good deal considering that screen seems to be stock from reading the Yoga 2 website. You get Lenovo build quality and keyboard as well.

I'm willing to drop 2k for something I'll use for the next five years. I plan on getting rid of my sig rig and I need something to program on that's mobile.

in my experience Lenovo doesn't tongue.gif around, they make solid units when you are looking 1k+. i don't know muhc about dell but, i'd certainly give it a consideration as well.

EDIT: the dell may be a tad proprietary that is one thing being discussed about the screen in the model i was hearing about.

I've been on notebook review and found out Samsung is releasing in a few days a better AB9+. i7, 8gigs RAM, 256 SSD.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F6EOB8C/

And I spoke to tech support and found the release date of the Yoga 2 Pro is 10/9/2013.

I'm going to wait for the Yoga 2 Pro and see how it stacks up to the AB9+.

Right now the Yoga 2 Pro is getting HD5000 vs AB9+ HD4400. And I'm wondering if the RAM is soldered in and if it's upgrade-able without breaking the warranty.

----
Also it's rumored that the Macbook refresh with Haswell is coming in October. I dislike Apple, but they are making awesome laptops. I don't know what to doooooooo.

The Yoga Pro is supposed to be $1100 indeed. eek.gif
That's amazing! Too bad it will cost at least 1300 Euro in Europe. frown.gif

Keep in mind that's for low specs, not what I listed. It's starting at $1100.
