Wanted:
[WTB] 2GB Corsair Dominator GT +2000mhz

Will Ship To: Anywhere

This is going to be a long shot, but I'm looking for a 2GB stick of Corsair Dominator GT +2000mhz (would think about 1866mhz if the price is right). Please PM me if you have a stick laying around, thanks.

Which model are you looking for?

There are DDR3-2000 C7 & C8 kits using Elpida Hyper memory chips (there would show a "ver2.1" on the labels), as well as C8 kits using PSC chips (ver7.1).

When you drop down to the DDR3-1866 there are even more versions.

You might need to be more specific in your search, especially if you're trying to match up with something you currently have. If that's the case then consider posting a pic of one of the modules that you already have. If you don't match up the IC you're going to be disappointed.

I'm currently running C8's. Would it be a huge difference if I mixed some C7's into the group or even using 1866mhz? I remember calling Corsair and asking them if they use Elpida Hypers on the Corsair Dominator GTs and they told me they use a mix of ICs and they don't use one kind of IC. I guess the rep lied to me =[.

I sort of want to just have the fourth memory slot filled for looks, filling 3/4 slots on a Haswell board looks odd to me.

If you're running the C8s, then which version number? There are C8s at 8-8-8-24 with Hyper ICs and these are ver2.1 and then there are the 8-9-8-24 with Powerchip (PSC) ICs and these are ver7.1. Generally speaking, the PSC chips work better with Haswell.

Keep in mind that it is more important to match the version number than it is to match CL.
