[FREEBIE] F1 Race Stars (Steam)

What is it? It's a Mario Kart clone that uses the Formula 1 license. It's an extremely competent racer and supports 4 player couch play so if you're looking for a lighthearted and fun kart game, it's definitely a great game. The tracks are fantastic and the whole package is just full of personality. Music is lackluster but everything else is great.

Why am I giving this away? Because I already have a copy and got it for free because I pre-ordered F1 2013

What do you need to do to win it? Tell me what your favourite game is and why. This could your favourite game ever or a particular game that has got your attention right now. The criteria is:

a) You must post a picture of the box art. It makes your post pretty.

b) If it happens to also be my favourite game, you go to the top of the list. And no, I will not tell you what my favourite game of all time is. tongue.gif

c) It has to be well written. You need to explain why this game is your favourite in convincing fashion. "It looks cool and is super duper fun" is not exactly the most convincing argument BUT! I would count is as an entry none the less. You only get ONE entry so make sure you take your time and explain. You don't need to write a novel but I need to understand why you like it so much.

Anddddd... go! Deadline is Sunday Sept. 15th. Have fun!

This just so happend to have both of my fav games lol

though I had Chrono Trigger on SNES when it was released in 1995, it was my very first turn based RPG and I was terrible at it. But I loved the story and the suspense kept at it beat it over and over again with the save+ feature lol found That Playstation version hella cheap, pretty rare find too and enjoyed the game another retarded amount of time again

and not too long ago, bought my son Chrono Trigger on his DS along with Dragon Quest IX. so ive beaten it twice on the DS rolleyes.gif

I think Chrono Trigger is easily my fav game ever.thumb.gif

My favorite game recently is definitely Bioshock Infinite. The world is built to an astounding detail, the story is probably more engrossing than anything else I've ever played. Since it was released, I've played though it 3 times. It's like that movie that, after the first time you see it, you go and see it again and again.

I'm a long time fan of Tomb Raider. I know the game has had the roller coaster effect of going through different developers over the time. Always liked exploring and solving puzzles. I like being pulled into a game when playing. They done a great job on the last one. Only thing I didn't like was it wasn't longer. Just think they was going to use a guy for Tomb Raider to begin with. Glad they stuck to the woman character.

Good Luck everyone.

I first played it back in junior high at an internet cafe. That internet cafe has since been closed down because it got constantly robbed and they openly sold porn with children around.

It was really fun; especially with friends. I borrowed a copy from a friend but only could play online when he wasn't. I mostly played offline with bots to practice when we did play together at the internet cafe. After Steam was introduced, my friend activated the key on Steam and then continued to play the then 1.6. I on the other hand continued to play with his key on 1.5 in WON.net.

Mainly playing public games until 2004~ when WON.net gets shut down. Then quitting the game for a couple years. Then after those years I bought the game once again and started playing. Playing a lot. Made some "internet" friends that I still interact with today but enough of that.

It's my favourite game because of the gameplay really. I loved the fact they used the Quake engine as the base. Then modified it to fit the games style. The movement is really fluid compared to Source or Global Offensive. If you want to see the movement in action check out some youtube videos on "Kreedz". It's the game completely vanilla; anyone can launch the game and do it. It just takes the skills to do it correctly.

The gun play. Yes; pretty much all you use is the M4A1 and AK47 but recoil is random. There are different spray patterns and isn't always the same. The graphics are actually really good IMO. Mainly because it's clean. Everything is smooth when it needs to be and there isn't any random trash lying around in the newer revisions of the game.

The competitive and semi competitive community was really good when it was active. It really like the game but unfortunately the game is pretty much dead. IRC's #calscrim and $findscrim is inactive. The only place to play is ESEA and not even that active.

A game that I discovered randomly on the net, at first, looked like another "very independent genre" game, downloaded its demo, and looked awesome, I wasn´t expecting such an epic game, I also discovered that it was multi platform (good as I just linux as much as windows), after a day playing it, I finally bought the game becouse there was an offer on steam, Its in a very early phase of development as many features haven´t arrived the game yet (such as a carrer mode or mining resources), the game is sorrounded by a well built community of people, that share their desings and mods, its a game that can give you a lot of hours of fun building stupid spaceships with the form of pirate boats (yes, pirate boats) or building space stations on orbit, going to "Mun" or other worlds, also be careful to not get atracted by the sun gravity or your kerbals wont have a happy day!

And so I have chosen!

StormX2 got it right off the hop. While I enjoyed reading the Counter Strike write up quite a bit, I do have to go with StormX2. The reason for this is that it was the first post and that it just so happened to nail it by it being my favourite game of all time. Very ironic, I think.

Thanks for participating guys. Sorry about the late reply. I had the dates in my head wrong.

thanks for that!
talkin about CS brings back memories lol

My little bit of bragging rights, I had been playing TFC for a long time and a guy named Gooseman was bringing a few people in for some maps he was making, Myself and a handful of others got to play CS Siege map, before CS was even close to a reality, but it was an escort the Prez type map for TFC ;p

the very first CS Total Conversion Alpha, you were able to shoot through the entire map with an AWP thumb.gif had alot of good memories in those 2 games, i stopped playing most of it when WON Died, and switched over to DOD Source with occasional appearances in CS Surf maps and TFC Skill Maps

Thanks again!

But if you knew he was the winner then you should have just gave it to him to begin with. As there was honestly no reason for anyone else to even post. Thanks for the chance though.
