Flicker-free monitor with better than average black depth?

Evening all,

Does anyone know of a PWM-free monitor that has a better than average black depth? I've given up on trying to find a suitable PVA monitor (but if you know of one that fits the above criteria, please let me know). The best I've been able to find to date is the Eizo EV2436W.

It needn't be a gaming monitor (its primary use will be for photography work and movie viewing). Will consider PVA, PLS or IPS. < $800 would be ideal.

Thanks.
