CM Storm Reaper Mouse - Any additional info/rumors? - Page 2

True, the sensor does have + and - acceleration--BUT--here is the point I believe they are trying to make:

With a higher DPI, you're moving less distance, therefore the amount of acceleration isn't as vindictive due to the fact you're not physically moving your mouse as far.
For example, 10% of 1000 units is 100 units, where as 10% of 100 units is only 10 units.

Now lets say units are pixels, would you notice 10 pixels? Absolutely.

Would you notice 1 pixel? In the heat of battle?

To be honest, I think it's pretty negligible. I don't think I've ever moved my mouse 2.5 meters in one motion.

Maybe you didnt examine carefully previous picture.
With this accel I miss flickshots much more even on high-medium sens from 10cm to 30cm/360. With g400 I hit consistent.

Hey Mr. Q, how is the scroll wheel on it? I do a lot of kz and use the scroll wheel often. Has it ever skip on you?

I wonder how good the tracking is on this mouse and how much force required to perform clicks, I would prefer that they require less or equal force compared to the G9/G9X to click

This is the kind of logic I can never understand honestly. For me a mouse needs to be moved a certain amount to be comfortable and effective (17cm for 180° is about my sweet spot). Whether I use 400dpi or 1600dpi, I adjust the in-game mouse sensitivity to have that specific speed that I need.

Even if one dpi setting is naturally more precise than the other, it doesn't matter, because not having the right mouse speed is the performance killer number 1 for me. Even more so if you prefer to move your mouse quite a bit in games (low/mid sense), if you enforce too high dpi on yourself, the very high sensitivity of the sensor can make it rather jumpy and actually less precise by how it is perceived.

It is meters per second, not just meters. Most mouse movements occur in a fraction of a second. Clearly if you are playing an RTS and it takes you a whole second to box your units or an FPS and it takes a whole second to do a 180 you are probably going to lose. If you move your mouse 25 cm in 0.1 second, it averages 2.5 m/s (and the top speed is likely higher).

So, where I can buy this mouse from? No shops got them yet?
