Plastic glue for ARCTIC Accelero TT II

Thread Starter
The handle that snaps over the heatsink is broken on one side. So the thing still snaps over the heatsink but is not joined to one side of the shroud. I tried super glue and it had no effect?! I tried plastic model glue and it didn't do anything?! I'm really confused on how to rejoin it together can anyone help me out?

some plastics, like delrin and acetal have a lot of plasticizers (oils) in them and that makes it very difficult for any glue to stick to them.

I've had the most luck using a soldering iron and some similar, scrap plastic to form a "weld" instead of using glue.

You could try epoxy. Gorilla epoxy is pretty good. Scratch up the surfaces to be joined and surrounding area. With sandpaper or file. And make sure its clean clean clean maybe with some alcohol. Billbartuska's idea sounds good to, I'll try that next time.Good luck.
