Evo 212 on Asrock Extreme4... no/wrong threads in MOBO for hardware supplied by CM?

Hey all,

First post looking for some insight, since Google wasn't much help. I built my rig in December, and while my temps were "OK," I knew I needed some better CPU cooling.
(Build is i5-3570k, Asrock Extreme4, 16gb DDR-1600, 750w modular PSU, CoolerMaster Storm Enforcer case w/ 1 200m intake and 1 200m & 1 120mm exhaust, GTX 670 FTW (EVGA) and so on).

Anyway, tonight I went to install the CM Evo 212 I bought, and I noticed that the supplied hardware does not fit my MOBO (Asrock Extreme4 as noted). Basically, the MOBO holes are either not threaded, or they are much larger than the supplied screw mounts. Seeing as the Asrock Extreme4 is somewhat common, I was kind of surprised. My stock CPU fan has locking plastic nubs, no screws.

Am I totally missing something here, or has somebody else run into this? In fairness it is late... but I can't think of anything.

Assuming you are saying what I think you are, you need to install the back plate and screw mounts to the board, and then use the x mount to hold it down.
