ASUS P8P67 Deluxe POST issues

Hey all,

I recently moved across the nation, and took apart my computer build before moving back to Oregon (in part because I just purchased an H80i liquid cooler). Long story-short, I put everything back in, including the new cooler, and my computer will not POST. I'm at a loss for what the heck is going on. I've had the board for well over a year with zero issues, but my mobo now features a bright CPU_LED light indicating that the 'cpu' is having issues.

Things I've tried:
1) Taking out the battery and popping it back in to reset the CMOS.
2) I've got 12GB of ram across four sticks, and I've tried using just a single stick in various slots to no avail.
3) I've taken everything off the board except for the ram, cpu, and its cooler.
4) Removed the USB header cables & HD Audio from the bottom of the board to check if they were causing an electrical issue.
5) Rechecked the CPU 8-pin connecter cable a million times.

Also, my computer is having extremely strange boots and reboots, which could indicate a PSU problem. When I hit the power button the computer will start up for a few seconds, then shut off, then start up again on its own and run with the POST issue described above. When I go to shut it down, sometimes it will automatically boot back up on its own.

Lastly, I used too much thermal paste on the CPU when I last reseated it, and as I went to remove all the gunk with the compound from Artic Silver some of the gunk ended up on two of the small cells on the topside of the CPU. I carefully removed it after noticing it, but maybe the circuitry was damaged from the paste?

Try getting them repaired or RMA (if you can)
