Anyone know what the stock voltage of a FX 6300?

My dad wanted to build a new machine. I recommend the FX 6300 which he agreed would be best for the money. He has heard me talking about buying myself a Asus Crosshair V so he bought an Asus Crosshair IV Formula on Ebay thinking it was a Crosshair V without me knowing after I had already ordered the 6300. It came with RAM and a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium so he actually got a good deal. I wasn't so sure it would work with the FX 6300 being it only has a beta BIOS supporting Zambezi, but it finds the Vishera chip and chugs along just fine.

I'm actually very jealous of this 6300, if the CPU voltage is displaying correctly anyways. Everything I check is reporting the same so I'm thinking it must be. I bumped the clock speed up to 4.0ghz and its happily running Prime95 small FFT at 1.2v. His cooler isn't the best, but its better than stock and his house is a bit warm. At this clock speed and voltage its at 54C, I'm thinking with better cooling this chip will probably clock like crazy. For a 120 dollar CPU its a killer deal.

Hi

I am running an FX6300 on an MSI 870-G54(FX) motherboard and the stock voltage of the chip, as reported by CPU-Z|
is 1.312v. I believe that some run at 1.265v so it would appear that each chip is different.

I am currently running the chiop Overclocked at 4.4Ghz and the voltage is still stock.

Hope this helps

I expect there is some variation between them. This particular chip is reporting 1.212v in CPUZ, HWMonitor and AMD Overdrive. I'm running that 1.212v at 4.0ghz. Thanks for the help sir!

With turbo off at 3.5 mine is 1.26v

Ok, thats pretty close to what this one is so it sounds feasible that its reporting the right voltages.
