And yeah, these new Radeons have very good price to performance, just like with Nvidia, though Nvidia is a bit more expensive. For example, you can't really game with high settings without having a GTX 760, 660 series minimum imo (my opinion is turning settings on high @ 1920x1080). The 7950 is like 5% slower than the GTX760 for only 200$, while the 7970 is only something like 11% faster for 300$. GTX 760 is in the middle at around 250$. Of course those prices have about +- 20$ depending on vendor. And I hope I didn't gt those percents mixed up, I know they are factual because I've been doing a lot of research lately on the right card but its kinda hard to remember so much info on numbers so close together lol.

But yeah, Physx definitely is about as awesome and useless as AMD's TressFx. The perfect example to see how nice Physx is, is to checkout Borderlands2. And since I plan on playing CoD Ghosts for a while, which is going to be optimized for Nvidia and include special Physx stuff, I'm gonna go ahead and continue to go with Nvidia
7950 = 760 @ 925MHz. which is like stock. Some come as 850MHz but that's underclocked. And 7970 @ 925MHz + 15% compared to 7950/760

Am i slamming Nvidia here? Am i? Oh i am aren't I. Fantastic. Get your facts right

I'm haven't been on any Nvidia thread. The day nvidia is cheaper for better performance is the day i go to Nvidia but that hasn't happened.
Besides, you are the Nvidia fanboy

But I have used FXAA on a PS2 emulator in the past and I know how it gives a very nice improvement of jaggies, with little performance hit. So I can see why there is so much debate now. So then it comes down to whether or not you are sitting at a PC desk or on your couch. FXAA and SMAA would appear the same if you are chilling on your couch gaming, but if your face is right on the monitor at a desk, clearly you would see the difference in both quality and ofc framerate. Thanks for the nice post.

But I do disagree with the Physx comment, if you had ever played Borderlands 2 you would understand why I want Physx haha
And also some XFX cards do have lifetime warranties, but its only specific cards. All others have only a 2year warranty
Pre-7k series. Only cards before it have lifetime warranty but even so that can be quite loose since cards tend to go EOL (which is american company's definition of Lifetime) every 2 years

That's weird. My GTX 260 has a lifetime warranty and I applied for the RMA of it, though due to work and being busy it's been a month and I haven't shipped it to them, yeah I suck. But something like 8 months ago (about 4 years or using the card) I made a RMA because temps seemed very high and the card had a bad odor when smelling the vent. Well I shipped it to them, they cleaned it up and said it was fine by their tests, then they sent it back. I guess they must have changed the wording of their 'lifetime' warranty since then.

Looks like I'm not the only one concerned for the game and I run at a resolution of 1366x768. 720P gaming. Will be using the 6970's in CF. Looking to get at least 60fps at maxed out settings smile.gif

Not sure if mentioned already but I game at 1440p and I do hit above 2gb of vram easyily on ultra. I rescently upgraded from 680 2gb to a 780 3gb and love it...maxing evetyhing out crazy didn't think I would hit it but in bf3 ultra I hit about 2200mb max so def. worth the upgrade.

BTW single card ftw overclock it dude I don't even get close to dropping below 60fps on 1440[p ultra msaa 2x runs quitter than sli stutter free etc my rec. def single 780 vs sli build
