I had some ok DD blocks on my quad 480s. Temps reached around ~60-65, which was hella better then stock ~95c.

Quick update! Shipment from ColdZero arrived today... Interesting little puzzle this is.

The EVGA thing is a rigid tri-sli bridge cover.

I did install that midplate a week ago. Had to think that how it us meant to be mounted, but managed to get that into a place, even with every component installed smile.gif

BTW, is the official place for intel based builds in the intel build log thread? thumb.gif

If a mod happens to come around, can he move it there?

Good god man! Only 65c? biggrin.gif I was thinking a bit higher then that from how mine run stock...

edit: HOM DEPOT IS SO USELESS FOR ANYTHING SMALL IT MAKES ME WANT TO GO HULK SMASH MODE IN THAT BIOTCH.

The ones I had on the 580s weren't that great either. They were piggishly heavy, and were held w/ 2-56 screws. They are a good 5-10c higher compared to other better blocks.

I like HK and EK blocks. I ended up w/ ek blocks and so I purchased the 3rd gpu block and eventually the cpu block. So far its been great.

Homes is pretty bad when you need some pc hardware. Most of the stuff they have is Imperial and in larger sizes. I hate how the metric hardware is sometimes just pilled up in different binds. But ordering from mcmastercarr.com can get expensive for a only a few bits needed and you have to wait. Oh well.

Love that sli bridge cover thumb.gif

yeah was pretty silly they didn't have anything under metric 5. guess I'll have to be ordering from performance-pcs.com or the like. The main thing I needed for washers for that damned Rad bracket

I had been looking around town for some one to make me some custom pieces for me, which ended poorly, with people trying to charge me as much as 500$ for a 900D "mid plate"

So, my only other option was ColdZero Case Mods.

Also, I was growing tired waiting for EVGA to re-stock it's custom sli bridges, so instead I purchased this...

this is just a rendering, but it's simply glued onto an existing rigid 3way sli bridge.

I'm still looking for someone in town who can make me a motherboard shroud, maybe I can appeal to the inner modder @ one of the local machine shops. The only problem is, I live in one of America's Yacht Capitols, so all of these machine shops are extremely spoiled in their customer base.

I can make one out of Acrylic or hard plastic. I have a Laser cutter/printer. Do you have the dimensions?
