MSI Adterburner 7970 unlock voltage issues

I have a gigabyte 7970 card and i use this method to unlock the settings in afterburner, http://www.overclock.net/t/1292713/ltmatt-how-to-overclock-the-official-way-using-msi-afterburner-on-amd . after following that instruction i manage to get the setting unlocked, core volt, mem volt, and i can hit 1215core/1750 mem stable at 1175volt (stock volt is 1050). I'll call this Card1 setting. So now i got a second 7970 gigabyte same model just a newer bios that come with it. i installed it, uninstall the ati drivers, did a drivesweeper as well. and installed the beta 10.34, latest ati drivers. and crossfire detected and now i went back to try to oc with msi AB. obviously with the additional 7970 it wont work with 1215core/1700 mem at 1175 volt. so i went to try 1110volt and 1100core/1550mem and it is stable in crossfire mode. so then i went into Settings and selected the new 7970 as the master graphic processor and the volt is not adjustable. is this a bug or it is normal? so i thought i should try to overclock just the new 7970 as a single card and the volt is not adjustable. i follow the steps like before to unlocked volts and i even reinstall msi ab. so i put back in the Card1 this time as a secondary, and the setting for Card1 remain the same, all volts unlocked even though after reinstalling msi AB. maybe installing that MSI AB patch file did something to the card and the msi afterburner the first time. is there a clean way to uninstall msi ab?

so i select the Card1 as a master graphic processor and oc the volt and mem to 1100/1550 and due to the synchronize settings option it also apply to the other unlockable card,i'll call it that for now. does this happened to you guys? i am new at this and not sure about it. i need some help. thank you.

I'm having a hard time reading all this. Your grammar is a little rough. So both cards OC just fine solo, but not together?

Are they the same brand? Its possible the card is locked in the bios. May want to look into bios modding.
