Rebuilt OS, headphones are now very quiet and no longer have surround sound.

So I rebuilt my OS, Windows 7, because it died on me. But now I've noticed my headphones are very quiet and don't have surround sound anymore. I've got the Ultrasone 580's. I got the Realtek drivers and I don't think my headphones even have drivers and yet it still is very quiet. I've tried fiddling with every which volume slider imaginable. Can anyone help?

If you are using 3.5mm jack, you won't get any surround emulation without 3rd party drivers/software.
And set the output to headphones instead of speakers from audio settings.

I've tried setting it to headphones but in the sound settings it claims my headphones aren't even plugged in.
