I realized I don't need to be spending the extra money for a 4930k. I ended up going with Haswell, everything is ordered except for the cpu. Microcenter is out of stock! mad.gif

Depends on the app. For video encoding (x264) haswell has a nice lead in IPC and avx2 is utilized, so developers quoted 17% faster on haswell clock for clock - if you clock ib-e at 4.5 and haswell @4.5, the gain is only ~28% for that application, not 50. IB-E with solder is nice though, because this is just ridiculous
