The purpose of this build is not about cable management, it's purely practical. That's why the PSU I'm having right now is not even partially modular, because I just couldn't care less.
Although I agree if this were a finished project - when it's the 'before' picture that's much less practical. Also if it's run open-air like that it really doesn't matter all that much (sure it looks horrible - but even if all the cables were custom length and sleeved and organized... it would still look like a case with hardware shoved in it sitting on the floor). I guarantee that the difference in temps wouldn't change at all from the way it is to fully organized and tied back... since airflow isn't a concern.
Looking forward to seeing what you do - FD cases are definitely my favorites after Case Labs - and (IMO at least) are leagues ahead of any mainstream lines with the possible exception of some Lian Li designs.
Obviously theirs, because in my order list it clearly shows that I ordered the 420 model and not 240. And how they managed to include the res but miss the pump is just beyond me.
I do not envy that call... out of curiosity what shop did you place the order with? Seems like someone was smokin' the long green that day in a big way. To fail multiple times on a single order is rare - or it should be if a shop plans on staying in business for very long. I'm definitely interested to see what your customer service experience is with them... if they handle this properly - I'd give them more business... if not I'd make sure to stop as many people as I could from giving them any business again!
It's Performance-PCs. I've sent them a letter today, but they are closed, so I'll probably give them a call tomorrow to sort this out. Funny thing is that the packing slip shows all items ticked as if they were all checked and packaged. Whoever did this was either blind or drunk or both.
Sounds like normal response it's shame sellers have so much distrust in consumers I just had to rma some bits and I be waiting up to 2 months for a return
So while I'm at it, I successfully drilled out the 5.25 cage to give space for the installation of the 420 rad up top. Hell knows how long it's gonna take them to ship it, but I'm optimistic, so more updates to come.
I'm quite looking forward too see finished result as you seem to have a interesting way of having your case with wires etc.Not saying it's wrong just not seen open case like that for some time

Dude, you might want to have a look at THIS thread (If you haven't seen it yet) and stay away from PPC's.
Just giving you a heads up, since you seem to be having issues with them already
It's about as bad as the XFX fiasco that happened to a forum user a couple years back. Too bad you can't show up at their doorstep and ram that 240 down their throat.
Ok, so they shipped the pump and supposedly the correct rad today. Hope it arrives soon! Once I get them the only thing left to do would be just to fill the loop and I'm done.
Yeah, I've had good experiences with PPCS the few times I've ordered from them, but at the same time it wasn't anything special either. On the other hand, I've had nothing but great experience with FrozenCPU - and every order I've ever received from them was filled by one person and checked by a second... and always correct! I think at this point I've done way more than $2K with them over 8-10 orders and always been pleased.
They don't often have the best prices - but sometimes (OK often actually) saving a few bucks here or there doesn't actually work out saving you anything at all.
you went for an sli/cf before changing the stock intel cpu cooler ? that's a strange way to do it ^^
