Need help ASAP! Zowie AM problem

Thread Starter
Well, I have a Zowie AM GS, and a friend accidentally dropped it, and it fell to the floor. Everything seemed fine until I tried to use it, and it worked like crap, almost no tracking. I mean, buttons work, wheel works, and led too, but the LOD seems to be like, I dunno, 0.01 mm. I opened it and everything looks fine, but I guess that something happened with the lens. I need help guys, I don´t think that I can ask for guarantee in the store because you know, probably they are not going to consider it since it was "my" fault. Any ideas?

You didn't mention if it's still under warranty. Is it?

It has a 3 month warranty, and I have used it for, hm, around 2 months. So yes, it´s still under warranty.

If you can substitute a spare laying around, it would be wise to have the Zowie RMA'd.

Try an RMA, my experience coming from microsoft mice like the WMO is that the LOD for the AM was very low. Too low for me. Your experience after dropping the mouse is similar to mine, I just didn't drop it haha. If there's visible signs of neglect on the mouse (aka damage from you dropping it) then they might refuse the RMA. Who knows they might be cool or not care and replace it anyways.

I´m going to cry I guess. The funny part, is that now, it works perfectly on my desk, but doesn´t work on the mousepad. I´m done.

Seriously, I discovered that the problem was the desk of my friend. It was so irregular, and the LOD is so low, that the mouse had problems. That was all, the mouse works perfectly in my desk.
I feel so dumb now.tongue.gif
