[EA] Playing the Best of This Generation – And Getting a Head Start on the Next - Page 2

Sort of; it's about Battlefield 4, Madden 25 and Fifa 14 (anyone seeing a trend here btw)

"The highly-anticipated Battlefield 4 action starts with the Battlefield 4 Open Beta on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC slated for October 1, then the game lights up on October 29."

Meh i don't see this game being a monster to run like Crysis 3 or Metro LL recommended specs aren't the most beefy and generally FB is a very good running engine for a wide range of cards. I would think a 7950 would be able to handle it like my 470 did BF3, most settings on high with textures and others on ultra here and there.

What about exclusive access for premium owners? Do we get it the weekend before the 1st or something?

You're just starting up the circlejerk of hate that usually accompanies any thread nowadays that involves Battlefield in some way. If you don't like it anymore, then don't bother looking at the thread and regurgitating the same old bile that we've all seen many times over before. Move on. Like you said, you have ARMA now.doh.gif

Now, on topic biggrin.gif.

So basically EA's COO is telling people that they should buy their games twice so as to "get a head start" rather than saving that money to buy the "next-gen" console and game for that platform wackosmiley.gif...? Only someone irresponsible with their money would do such a daft thing.

That is basically what I got out of the article, and when I first noticed the offer on gamestop a while back.  So, I can buy your game twice?  Aw, neat, thanks for that?

No, its more like original price + a small upgrade fee so in Australia it would be $90 for the ps3 version + $10 - $20 dollars to upgrade to the ps4 version

Frostbite 3 engine is very optimized (64bit processing, DX11.x, heavy multi-thread) compare to the other Cryengine and 4A Engine. If you are still on 32bit OS or XP. Sorry you won't be able to run them.

There is no reason why a thread has to have only positive opinions about a game or product. That said, I made the point I intended.
