Can i switch Priority of PCI-e Slots ?

HI everyone
I would like to be able to switch between my 7990 and my 7970 in crossfire.
At the moment i am only able to plug in my monitors to the card that is installed into the Top slot of the mother board (G1 sniper 5 z87)

Is there a way possibly in the bios(or any other way) to be able to swap these without physically changing th ecards in the slots ? as im on a water cooling loop and i water cool the 7990 doing it physically is a pain in the derear !

Also doing this do you think i will see a performance difference ?

Thanks !

Is your issue that you want to use 1 card with no crossfire, or you want to try the other card as the primary to see if it makes a difference?

the later mate.
the 7970 fitted better in my custom loop when it was in the top slot, so my 7990 takes the secondary slot.

Im just about to drain the system and delip my chip alos add another rad so if there is no way of swapping the priority using software i guess now is teh time to redesign my loop.

Do you think / know if it actually makes any difference if i have the more powerful card as a secondary ?

Ah what a disapointment ! i found out you can change the initail PCIe SLot but only in Boot up !
when windows loads it reverts back to slot 1 !!!!
What is the point in that ???

Baffled.
