Back to stock cooling Q's

Hi,

My case details are listed on my Rig.

I have a question about going back to stock cooling as my case has become loud with all the added fans I have gotten. I have the one in the front of the case that pulls then one in the back that pulls out, the evo cooler has a fan in the front and back in the normal push pull so it exhausts out the back of the case I then have two additional fans the suck air that are right above the cpu. all except two are controlled via a fan cooler at its lowest setting the front cpu fan is connected to the mobo and the case exhaust fan is connected to the mobo.

My system is quite cool but loud, my gpu always seems to run in a non air conditioned room between 35 - 45 and my cpu runs at idle in the low 30's & my high temps never seem to be an issue.

I somehow "lost" my stock 2400 cpu cooler so will have to cough up for another (unfortunately it is near impossible to get one in South Africa) just the cooler.

I have seen the http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/90361881/Intel_BXRTS2011AC_Air_Cooling_CPU_Cooler_LGA_2011.html cooler though it states it's a 2011 socket only I am wondering if the mount that came with the evo cooler would allow me to connect the cooler as it has mounts for 2011 coolers.

Has anyone tried this and succeeded ? If that is not possible I guess I remove some fans and connect the minimum 3 to the mobo & see how the cooling goes, will be a lot less noisy.

Would be cool to have a zombiefied cpu cooler biggrin.gif

Thanks for any feedback

Yes the Evo backplate will fit the 2011 cooler but I cannot promise the height will be the same.
Why not just turn down your fans with a controller or from the motherboard?

Thanks Legonut.

I'll test the 3-fan setup and see how it goes with the fans connected to the mobo,
I never had issues before going postal with the fans
