I agree with point 1. I also understand point 2, though I tend to think people should minimize worry about future upgrade plans. For instance, I wouldn't say an i3 has an upgrade path to a 4.5ghz i7 because I would recommend someone get a cheap H61/H81 motherboard when buying an i3, not something that could overclock a K-series processor. Regardless, I originally just wanted to clarify that an OC'ed fx-6300 might be considered superior to an i3 for ARMA 3 according to these benchmarks.* Similar, to a touch above, as you corrected me. Looks like my comment was unnecessary.
*Then again, as I look more closely, a Haswell i3 might outperform the i3-2100 used in this benchmark.
