Setting up Asus RT-N66U QoS? Vulnerable with WLAN?

Thread Starter
First of all, before asking about QoS settings, I read "QoS is one of the methods used to accelerate the WPA flaw. The first thing I do with any new wireless router install for clients is disable TKIP in favor of AES and Disable QoS." on other thread http://www.overclock.net/t/518662/how-to-setup-qos#post_6389302
Is there problems with QoS and WPA2-Personal AES, which Im using right now?

I live in close to downtown and I can spot over 20 wlans without leaving my apartment. So I dont want to be more vulnerable because of QoS. Im doing fine without QoS, usually if somebody have internet connection problems, its usually my friends, but Im that type of guy who wants to fine tune everything, get the most out of everything biggrin.gif

After someone can confirm that there isn't problems or I could use some other authentication methods, I'll write my questiong about QoS smile.gif

If you read your own link they were discussing the ineffectiveness against WPA2 (AES/CCMP) based networks. tongue.gif

Well my problem is that I have around 300Mb/s dl, 70Mb/s ul but when I activate QoS my download speed drops to stable 100Mb/s in speedtest (see that green download line)
.
When its usually like this:

Also Steam download speed dropped to 5ish Mb/s when it usually was 32Mb/s.

Heres my settings QoS settings:

I also tried default QoS settings and tried to delete all rules from "User Specify Rule List" but both didnt make any difference.

When your connection is that fast I wouldn't bother with using QoS at all. Hell, even with my 50/10 line I only use QoS upstream.

Eventually try filling in 0 in the download and upload slots. That way it should still reprioritize important packets (like ACK and ICMP), but not bother with managing the bandwidth.

QoS is not a security risk, but you're probably thinking of UPnP, which can be a security risk. Or WPS tongue.gif
