Looking to get a 2560x1080 monitor. What do you guys recommend? I looked at the Dell and LG one.

I was seriously considering this monitor a while back. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160162
I have a 27" AOC monitor, and they make a pretty quality product. I don't understand why this resolution is not more popular with gamers. It seems like the obvious choice for gaming considering you get 33% more horizontal screen space. So it like a miniature 3 monitor set up in a way. I don't the the 2560x1440 would be very good for gaming because it has the same aspect ratio as 1920x1080 so you will not see any more in either direction you will just get a clearer picture, but I would argue that the resulting slow FPS wouldn't be worth it. I really think 2560x1080 is the best resolution for gaming. I just couldn't bring myself to pay twice as much as what I could get a 27" 1920x1080 monitor for. But if you have the money and you want to use it primarily for gaming and watching movies it is the way to go IMO.
