As far as I know all the 7950/7970 cards have a DL-DVI output, so yes, you should be able to run it with a splitter

I have a 7950 and run a 120Hz display from DVI so it HAS to be dual link

All 7970s have at least one DL - but i believe even ones with 2 DVI outputs, only one is actually Dual Link. To get 2 or more 1440p (or a 120hz 1080p) displays going youre going to have to use a DP -> Active DLDVI adapter.

Not quite true MSI Lightning 7970 only uses 2 single link DVI ports and there may be others. Rest is fairly accurate just wanted to point out that not all of them do!

@OP Why would you want to run both monitors off the single output? You would be better off running both the monitors off separate outputs...

Right forgot about the Lightning - for such a pricey card, they couldnt even plug in 1 DL-DVI output

I think the only reason why he'd want to do that is so that he can compare input lag, only true way is to have them go off the same output.
