Photoshop a CD Cover?

Hi guys,

I am trying to create an album cover for my first ever E.P. and I would like some help from you guys...?

Basically, the E.P. is to be called "The World Inside My Head" and this idea is based around people always wondering why I am so positive, even when bad things happen.

My music is upbeat and cheerful and so I want the album cover to reflect that. biggrin.gif

Here's something I did...

The image above is of a silhouette sat playing guitar in front of a nackered old wall, with a cartoon sunny day faded into the wall. The cartoon sunny day was meant to be the world inside my head/my outlook, and the dark broken wall is reality... If you get my meaning.

As you can see, I'm not very good on the old photoshop, so I'm hoping someone here will be kind enough to help me out and give me a 1000 x 1000 CD cover that I can use for my album.

I'm a bit lost here, but over the years on this forum and have given a lot of help and reveived a lot of help, so I know someone will come through for me. thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

Here's another I did...

Here's something else that could be used... someone made this of me and sent it to me... I think it's cool and so maybe someone might try something with this...

Any images used to create the album cover must be either original (designed and created my you) or using royalty free images... as I don't want someone to sue me! tongue.gif

There is a HUGE amount of appreciation and Rep+ awaiting all those who help...

Over the years I have offered a lot of help on this forum and received a lot, so I know you guys will come through for me...that is if you're not all sat playing the new GTA!!! mad.gifwink.gif

Let your imaginations run wild,

Thanks guys!

MaK :-)

First off I'd like to say that your first two images are terrible as they don't reflect "upbeat and cheerful" at all. They're using too dark of colors and the urban/solid images generally produce reactions opposite of that in people.

I'd scrap the first one altogether. If you like the second one I'd redo it using a sunny day with nature in the background rather than a lamppost, no silhouetting.

I can make a try with some stuff, but I'm a flake, so you'd have to hope it's not terrible, my work is either awesome or terrible (even if I know what I'm doing) because of that. frown.gif

If you want to talk theory with me, I can do that easy enough.

Hi zen00, thanks for the response.

I have also been thinking about just using the image of my face (the last one)

Is there any way you, or someone, could make that crisp and clear at 1000 x 1000

I have tried in photoshop, but I don't know how to take a low res image and make it more high res.

Any ideas?

Thank you!
