Fc5v2 voltage question

Thread Starter
I have one coming tomorrow and I'm trying to understand how the voltage readout will work.

I'm stacking 4 fans per channel with 3 y splitters on each channel (allowing 4 total fans)

Do I need to cut of the yellow wires on the first split, the fan itself or all the splitters? I will have a total of 9-12 y splitters so I'm a little confused. Thanks

Also, if the Rpm wires are cut, will the display show an accurate rpm reading? Or any reading at all?
