My Compu-Desk Sketchup..."Aurora" - Page 2

So, ive actually found someone to built this thing hopefully in the coming months. He suggested 1/4" aluminum and he also has someone to powder coat it thumb.gif

I've ditched the "Hulk" theme and decided to go with code name Aurora. Either a black and blue scheme or a deep blue and green. Not sure yet. Plus my Gigabyte cards are blue PCBs and im not changing those so...

ok, so im going to use my 15" touch screen as a secondary monitor and maybe look into some actuators to raise it up. the hard drives/blu ray burner/ssd's will be under there. My main concern now is airflow. I want all radiators to be intakes and exhaust out the right 360 (possible 480). Im using 4 80mm in the main compartment hoping thatll be enough to move the air.

Any constructive criticism?

The guys I found to build it are pretty busy right now so hopefully by the end of the month they can at least get started. Cant exactly keep bugging them when they're the ones doing me a favor. Im hoping that we can work together to make a simple design that is functional and inexpensive. That way we can look into making more for people interested. A long shot but a possibility.

just one question. That looks like a lot of tubing for the pumps that you are going to be using. I forgot what the GPM are, but I dont think you will get good results. Iam not trying to knock your idea down i think it is great and if I had the time and money I would build the same thing. I just dont think your pumps will cut it with all the tubing and rads you have in your design.

Well the tubing is concentrated on the left and reservoirs in the middle, along with the back. Im planning on acrylic in the main compartment and normal tubing in the back. Either 2 D5's or 655's for the entire loop. The rear is mainly exhaust but I still haven't decided if im going with just the 2 360's on the side or include my 2 240 black ice stealth's in the rear. Probably overkill I know, but I have them, why not usem. Most important thing now is just getting the shell started and we can adjust from there. These guys still have 2 projects ahead of me mad.gif
