I mean with the primo flex tubing I can stretch it across my build and it look pretty straight right??

Something really unfortunate happened today. My Alienware laptop's (m11x of 3 years) cpu gave up on me. I use the cloud for everything in college, so I have to purchase a new laptop/tablet/internet device.
This will set me back on any plans of water cooling for at least 1-2 months </3

That guy with the wall mount PC used pex bend fittings to keep his tubing straight. They could work for you no matter what kind of tubing you had as long as it was the right size.

I'm not sure what you mean by "so slim". Yeah, it's a little smaller, but not by a whole lot.

1/2" is 12.7mm

E22 acrylic tubing is 10mm ID and 12mm OD. Yeah it's a little bit smaller, but not that much.

The biggest tubing you will typically use is 1/2" (12.7mm) ID by 3/4" (19.05mm) OD, but that stuff is only used on barbs.
More commonly, people are switching to 1/2" by 5/8" (15.875mm) OD tubing for compression fittings.

The smaller diameter won't effect temps by more than 1/2C at worst, but yeah, if it's looks you are concerned with, that may play a factor. Personally, I prefer the newer "thin wall" tubing look. To me, when filled with colored coolant, it isn't as distracting as having a thick non-colored ring around the tubing. To each their own. Aesthetics are always personal.
