Sound Settings for CS:GO with Xonar DG and AD700?

Hi,

I've had my Xonar DG and ATH-AD700's for a while now. I've been playing around with my settings and was wondering the best settings for positional audio in CS:GO, which I play very often. Right now, I'm using 6 Channels, 44.1 KHz sample rate, headphone analog out, and Dolby Headphones settings on. I'm also using 5.1 speaker in Windows. However, I'm not too satisfied with these settings. Can anyone suggest me better settings for positional audio?

OK your using headphones, right ? Some decent ones too, so your going to want to set the channel settings to stereo. Or at least that's what I would do.
I'd set the sample rate to the max the sound card can handle. Witch I believe is 96KHz and I believe the Xonar DG has an amp. Is that right ?
If so turn it on. Keep in mind the ad700 are 32 ohms headphones.

Honestly, I played a hell of a lot of CS:S and in source games I use stereo.
I can locate people perfectly with the headphones set to stereo so I'm pretty sure valve already have the positional audio thing covered.

I would at least give regular stereo with all audio enhancements off a go.

Edit: That was with an X-Fi extrememusic by the way, my sig-rig is on the built-in sound of my G510 at the moment because my x-fi won't fit with a 60mm rad in the bottom of my case but this is based on trying creative's virtual surround vs normal source engine sound.

I might prefer the standard settings because they're what I'm used to.

I guess that stereo with all audio enhancements off is fine. It's what I was using before, but I wanted to fiddle with the sound card and see if I could achieve better sound than the settings I had.
