I personally haven't jailbroken an iDevice since the beginning of iOS 5. That's when Apple has finally started to listen and implement basic features, and I saw no reason to JB any more.
On the iOS 7 note, phew has it been an eventful evening. Couldn't activate my phone for hours, thought it was some similar situation from before (unlocked iPhone 4, but bought in Hong Kong. Had some trouble activating MY first time without original sim.), but it wasn't so. Luckily, it was just Apple's server being busy. All is good and well now. iPad 2 upgrading as we speak.
On another note, seriously Apple? A multi-million or billion company can't afford more servers? Every major iOS upgrade day is just server crash after server crash. (well, maybe not crash, but still.)
