Looking for small/ mid-size mouse for fingertip grip

Thread Starter
I am shopping for a mouse that will fit my odd grip and has solid 3, 4, and 5 buttons. I've done a bit of testing and found one hit and several misses. The hit was my main mouse, a SteelSeries Sensei Raw Glossy which I'd give 8/10. I want a second mouse that might fit my grip better. I have an odd fingertip grip: two main fingers are flat and I move the mouse entirely with a "pinch" grip with my thumb and ring/pinky fingers.

I've read a lot of reviews here and found a couple of options that might work, but having already returned many mice after trying them, I want to get something that I will be likely to keep.

Requirements:
- fingertip grip
- no finger rest on the right side
- strong side button mouse 4 and 5 (strafing in MMO) with no other side buttons
- well-made scroll wheel button for frequent use (autorun in MMO)
- small in length, don't want heel of hand to touch as it does on my Sensei
- glossy finish preferred, matte is ok, but no slick rubberized finish like Sensei Raw Rubberized edition

Rejected:
CM Storm Inferno - the weird contour on the left side blocks me from rolling my thumb over mouse 5 to activate it; also hated CM software
CM Xornet - the rest on the right side gets in the way of my ring finger & pink fingertip grip
Razer everything - the build quality is too shoddy for me
SteelSeries Kana - only 1 button on left side
Logitech 300 - no side buttons
Logitech 400-700 - too many side buttons, get in way of strafing in MMOs

Considering:
Zowie FK - my concern is the scroll wheels with Zowie have a bad reputation, and I need the scroll button to be easy to press and stand up to frequent use (run in MMO)
Roccat Savu - leaning towards this one; concerned about finish though, I can handle a Deathadder try rubber finish but couldn't deal with the slick rubber on Sensei Raw

Most of the problems with Zowie scroll wheels were due to the design of the EC1/2 mold AFAIK, the FK uses a different mold and the scroll wheel feels slightly cheap (not as bad as G400) but otherwise it's plenty solid. Savu's scroll wheel is of course better, being probably the nicest feeling scroll wheel I've ever used.

The Savu's rubberized top coating is definitely slipperier than the very-grippy FK coating, but the real question is the sides. The grainy sides on the Savu are going to be where all your control/movement comes from according to how you describe your grip, and I find them quite easy to grip compared to any rubberized coating available -- but if they irritate you it will of course be a problem.

They're both great mice. Buy both, and keep the one whose shape fits you better.
