Help with H50 mod

Hi all! (posting this here too, so I may get a faster reply.. cause the h50/h70 thread is quite dead)

Now this "easy" h50 mod is getting me all stressed out!... because of buying first wrong tubes (6-8mm), then the microbes barbs didn't work with that, so then I got the 8-10 tubing (btw.. its too flimsy and kinks pretty bad!... so had to get anti-kinks!).. then, new compression fittings for the reservoir, and after 2 weeks of waiting (I live in norway, and buyed from UK), so... they sent me a wrong product!! so I took contact with the store, and they sent me immediately the correct ones I had ordered the first time!... so now I got them!

Ok.. in the meantime, I did install the radiator with pull pull config (all inside the case... the CM Storm Scout 1), and I did (had to) plug that 8 pin connector from the psu, as I had to squeeze the cable behind the graphic card, and behind the radiator.. so I did connect it, before the radiator and fans.. and now its inaccessible.

You may already be guessing my problem??... well I installed the reservoir, and the tubing with their antikinks... btw I used the 8-10mm from the pump to the reservoir, and from the reservoir to the radiator...but then I used the 6-8 from radiator to pump! (I hope this won't make any problem, as it was impossible to bend (even with the anti-kink) in there without kinking!

So now, I was going to fill the reservoir, and jumpstart the psu, and remembered that 8-pin in the corner... that as I read now, its that what powers the cpu!! and now its impossible to remove!!

how am I going to do this?... I even buyer a syringe for pouring the coolant into the reservoir, as now its fixed into the case, and I can't remove it or tilt it... but I can remove the top screw and fill with the syringe and a tube.

so how do I run the pump without doing any harm.. now that the 8 pin is inaccessible?

arrrrgggghhhh.... do I have to uninstall EVERYTHING???

Please help me asap!

(and no.. and don't have another psu to test it... and though it is modular (OCZ ModXtream 600w), the 8 pin and the 20+4 pin aren't... so its no way I can unplug those!

Enlighten me!

I have filled my system with 8 pin and PCIe still attached. I don't think it would do any harm. If you have a spare PSU though you can just use that. If not and you are really that worried about it then you can try a 9v battery it is probably enough to prime the system.

Thanks for your reply.. will have to be brave/fearless and do it, lets see what happens.

Now the only thing left, is to know the right water flow for the system. Cause I see in here OC and other forums, as well as youtube videos, that it seems almost impossible to do it wrong!.. cause I see lots of different tubings position and they all work? don't get it 100% yet.

Without drawings, lets call:

A = LEFT port of the h50 pump (with logo in readable position)
B = RIGHT port of the h50 pump (with logo in readable position)
1 = LEFT port of the radiator (with radiator installed with inlet/outlet at the bottom)
2 = RIGHT port of the radiator (with radiator installed with inlet/outlet at the bottom)
G = Upper port at swiftech reservoir mcres micro rev. 2 (not the filling port)
H = Bottom port at swiftech reservoir mcres micro rev. 2 (not the emptying port)

So I have seen this setups (and they work well)... Not sure of the direction, but starting at pump and then reservoir, radiator and back to pump. (while flow may be going the other way... Im not sure about this)

B > H > G > 1 > 2 > A
B > H > G > 2 > 1 > A
A > G > H > 1 > 2 > B
A > G > H > 2 > 1 > B
B > H > G > 2 > 1 > A

All this setup works ok, as described by their owners.

B > H > G > 1 > 2 > A <--- mounted it like this, and haven't filled it yet, cause Im not sure its correct!... its not in the same way as any of the
ones I wrote above that are working.. so, have I connected it wrong?... or is it just another fancy way?

Thanks for your help.. everybody!
