Rooting droid razr m

I have been out of the game for a long time.. I've had this razr m for almost a year now and it keeps chugging along but after awhile all android phones just seem to be "bogged down".. runs slower etc etc. I haven't rooted a a phone since I rooted my galaxy 1 (fascinate) in 2011.

Do I just follow this method and it will automatically install SU? http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/24346-scriptutility-root-razr-m-xt907-for-locked-devices-on-91878/ This is the version I'm currently on..

and then from there I just install the clockwork recovery thing and boot into it and select my rom or follow the rom's directions?

That will root you, yes. But it cannot unlock your bootloader. The bootloader was only unlocked for a short time, then it got an update whcih made it impossible again.

Rooting will not help your phone be faster.

However - hold on a couple months. The neweset version of Android (4.3) introduces filesystem TRIM which basically eliminates the "slow down" in android that happens after a long period of time. Many people have said it made their phones (Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7, etc) loads faster, in some cases usable again.

The RAZR M should get that update, i would guess by the end of the year. Moto is always fastest at updating phones.

well i guess that would help, it really sucks because android is great for my needs but it really does slow down over time. I remember getting this device new and it was amazing fast and now it seems only 60% of that
