Problem with hot swap

Thread Starter
Hey guys, when ever i hot plug a drive, such as DVD player, HDD etc, my storage drive will disappear/ unmount itself. and even when i unplug the hot swapped drive it will still not appear.

to explain it better, for example i have boot drive C: and storage drive Z: , when i plug in D: drive, Z: will unmount itself.

does my motherboard have a 2 drive limit or does windows have something similar?

thanks in advance.
