That was A9 vs A15 core..
Android eco system is not about performance, or providing the end users with a performance device. It was a marketing experiment... that's still going on.
Additionally, Android's eco system is all about harboring personal information of millions, by selling them devices that have a free OS super cheaply, (to unsuspecting people). That is why Android phones are free. Because there is no real OS, no real anything... it is layers of marketing.
It is the same reason you have expensive Android phones, is to fool people into thinking Android device's are premium & use a premium OS... like an iPhone/WinPhone. Upscale Android phones give the image of tech elite... but instead, run on the same-ole pseudo OS.
This duality of free / cheap stuff... is Android's whole marketing scheme is what zealot has latched onto... Android doesn't need performance or optimization... it just needs another new flagship phone on a commercial to fool people. Compare thee very best Android phone to an iPhone... and all-of-a-sudden anyone using Android, is having a better experience than Apple users..?.
These highly marketable people don't understand that Android needs more cores and power because it isn't a real OS, but a pseudo one.
Lastly, having a quad-core Android phone is meaningless... they are no better than the cheap/free ones, because they run the same inferior OS, under the same inferior ecosystem.
