I live in a university dorm, so to connect the internet i am using the Lan port provided in the room. First time you connect your laptop it will ask you for credentials. After that it never asks you again.

My problem is that i want to change the account i am using, i have literally tried everything i know of like:

1-I have tried clearing all all browsers data using CCleaner.
2-I have tried clearing the passwords save in Credentials Manager in windows.
3-I disabled the Credentials Manager, and still not working,

Note that i log-off each i do any of the above and i have tried doing them all together but not still same issue. I even tried to change my credentials from the university website and magically after i changed them everything is the same. So what the heck is going on............. Please help !!!!

A shot in the dark here: Take a look at the connections tab in Internet Explorer's Internet Options page.  If that doesn't look right, try going to the Network and Sharing Center (right-click the network icon in the system tray to get that option) and take a look at "Manage network connections" and "Set up a connection or network" in the sidebar on the left.

    I hope that helps! thumb.gif

Thanks for the response, but it was very strange that all of the things i tried didn't work. What happened was that after 3 days suddenly the internet stopped and asked for credentials because i have changed my university password and nothing changed, So there was only one conclusion which is: The dorms internet authentication was ignored and we were connecting directly.

So the above methods should for sure clear any save or cached network credentials.
