Well, I went out and bought a usb 3.0 pci card and tried to see if that worked.

and nope, that didn't work either.... It's still being unresponsive for a sec or 2 when i lift up the mouse.

And sorry for asking this, but what do you mean usb controller? o_O

btw the motherboard I have is a ms 7578 not sure if that's any help :\

hmm then its not the motherboards microcontroller if you tried it with a pci card.
My next guess is that some other hardware causes the problem.

Try to unplug everything except the mouse and keyboard and start up the pc and see if that works.
Else you could try to install the latest bios on the pc of the motherboard.

But thats about it what I can think of I something else comes to my mind you can try I will post it.

Just tried disconnecting everything and only left my mouse, keyboard and monitor connected and it still did it. This time it actually froze and I had to unplug the mouse then reconnect it and then windows decided not to recognize the mouse anymore....

Thanks for the help though, I'll try almost anything on here to get this mouse to work :\

I have this mouse and no strange driver issues on this rig yet. Would you like me to field test mine and see if it does the same thing?

Now a new problem :-\

After trying out a different firmware and somehow the updating firmware failed halfway due to the mouse disconnecting itself, now my desktop OR my laptop recognizes it now. :\

*edit*

So for some reason after clearing cmos and setting bios back to stock, the mouse got recognized again.

But now I'm back to the mouse being unresponsive when I lift it up for a sec. wth.gif

I'm not sure if this is worth mentioning, but my mouse gets recognized as "HID-compliant mouse"

Is that normal?

Yes. However, you may try right clicking it in device manager and uninstalling it, then replugging it into the same port. Often that fixes a 'dead port' for me when I'm using funny drivers or something.

I've tried that lots of time, doesn't work.

I give up on this mouse, it's probably something to do with my motherboard seeing how this mouse works on every other computer BUT mine.

I still don't have a clue what could've cause this though, it was working fine for one year then started doing this. RMA'd it, new one did the same thing right after plugging it in. Reformatting didn't help.

So I guess it HAS to be something to do with my motherboard I guess...even though it's only ONE mouse that wont work.

There could be tons of them doing it but nobody ever notices because they don't pick up the mice. I used mine for months and wouldn't have a clue if it was doing that.
