Issue with Sig Rig

Thread Starter
Hey I have been having this issue the last few months where my PC won't boot. It first started with the PC booting then turning off before it even got to POST and then turning on again. Then it got to the stage where it wouldn't post at all and it has been happening more and more recently. I am typing this message on said PC at the moment and everything is fine. I had an issue with Catalyst Control Centre and I was getting a BSOD when I booted up but this was only in the last few days and I have managed to fix that problem by wiping the drivers and reinstalling everything. This problem usually happens when i shut down for the night and then when I go to boot up in the morning it will not. I have to power cycle it a lot to get it going almost like it needs to warm up. I'm thinking maybe the motherboard for some reason.

It doesn't have an error code on the board that's why I'm not sure what the problem is.

As I ran through these steps the problem arose again. Will not boot at the minute.
*Edit I got it running. Gonna try it with the 1204 bios like that guy did.

None of the above solutions worked, it happened again today and I could not get the PC on for 30 minutes or so.

When you get it going next, go into the BIOS and choose optimised defaults and restart, it might help.

But reading over again, and noticing your term "power cycle" and not being able to start for 30 mins, I am thinking maybe your power-supply is the culprit..

Either the PSU which it kinda sounds like it is or the motherboard

Fastest way to rule the PSU out is to try another one and see if the problem is still there

The Corsair GS series is not really that great its an average CWT series

Thanks guys. I had doubted the PSU for sometime myself. It had an odd knocking noise for a while after I first got it that just went and I've never had a problem where the PC has just powered off. I'll get my friends PSU and test it with that one and get another myself then.
