Replacing storage drive, how to move data to new drive - Page 2

I've been testing this theory of mine by changing the drive label on flash drives. Works like a charm... however, I can't run a .bat file for some reason. It won't work and it'll just go crazy in command prompt and it'll look like its trying to execute like 2000000 times... So I just open command prompt and type in the command and walla, works every time!

I did research and I did have to modify the code a little... here's what I've got:
Code:
robocopy Z:\ G:\ /MIR /COPYALL /LOG:"robologmirror.txt" /Z /R:3 /MT:32 /SEC /E

I was getting issues with NTFS security for some reason not copying some files. Putting in the /SEC code eliminated that issue. I've been testing copying to flash drives and making sure the integrity of games stay, no issue at all.

Glad to hear it!

Are you just double clicking the batch files? If so, try opening cmd by right clicking it and Run As Administrator. Once the window is open, cd to the directory the batch file is located and then run it that way. Or, just drag and drop the batch file into the cmd window and it runs that way too.

Yes I would double click the batch file, it would open command prompt and then it would just scroll the command like 5000 times in command prompt. I enter this code above in adminisative command prompt and it will just display after I hit enter the txt file and it'll take like 1 second to copy a 400mb file to the flash drive, its crazy.
I will have the new drive on Monday, hope to have everything switched out Monday night!
