Won StingerV6, need advice on the other stuff! - Page 20

I'm going to pick up the barbs for the pump and the distilled water tomorrow. I would like to hook up the rest of the loop today or tomorrow. I have a few questions:

What do I need to do to prep everything (cleaning and such)?

How do I fit the tubing in the heatercore?

What order should I run stuff?

Any other stuff I should know?

Thanks!

I soak my rad over-night full of 10% white vineagar and 90% distilled water and shake it a lot....Then rinse it several times with distilled water till I can smell vinegar anymore....
Soak your block in the same stuff but just for a few minutes then rinse...Since you got this stuff that Atomic and Dryad had I'm sure it's clean any way......You could skip that.....Just rinse with distilled....

Warm up your tubing in hot water before you try sliding them on...

I run mine res-pump-rad-cpu- any other blocks.....

Just take your time hooking it up...Make it fun and not a job..Thats when we all make mistakes, when we rush....Be sure to bleed it well....Oh Yeah if you have problems getting tubing an a barb make sure you twist it to the right when your doing it so you don't loosen a barb...and use teflon tape on all your barbs to...

Like Ira said^^^^ Go slow so it's a pleasure and not a pain.
WC'ing is just like modding, if you aren't having fun,
it ain't gettin' done correctly.

JRS, the Apogee winner, created an external WC sys and
made a wooden enclosure for it too.

I'm going to put everything together today. Pictures will be posted. I'm going to get the stuff for the case soon, but I won't start working on it until the loop is finished.

That chunk of blue stuff I sent with it is fstfrddy's polishing rouge.
Just wrap a T-Shirt rag around your finger tip, rub the rouge a few times
and shine that puppy up.

I'll do that soon.

I have a leak at the outlet barb of my pump. I tried adding more tape which didn't help. I also got a wrench and tightened the barb a ton. It still leaks. Any suggestions?

The only other problem I'm having is getting air out of the loop. While the res does a great job of keeping air out of the loop, the thing that directs the flow makes it hard to get the air in the loop out (it pushes the bubbles down, they go in circles, and eventually get sucked back in). I've tried shaking the res and tapping it and stuff but there are still bubbles. Any suggestions there?

I'll try to get some pictures of the problems tomorrow.

You have overtightened the pump, which could even crack the plastic housing.

The Bonnie is what you need to move/shake to get rid of the bubbles.

yea I was telling him also more telfon tape doesn't always make it better. With that less is more.
