Hi All,

Here is my specs:
Phenom ii x 2 555 BE 3.2ghz am3 = X 4 B55 (CM tx3 heatsink)
MSI 785gm-p45
Gigabyte 5770 1GB 128bit-gddr5
4gb ddr3 ram
OCZ fatal1ty 550w Thermaltake v3

I am planning on getting a new card soon. im trying to hold of till thanksgiving maybe prices would come down im looking at 7850(cheapest 2gb is at 150$) or 7950 (cheapest 3gb at $200) w/ mir.

Right now I am playing sc2 and just bought tomb raider. I play on a 50inch toshiba 60hertz 1080p. I stayed on normal to be able to play tr2 smoothly, I tried ultra and it's laggy, slow. (sorry dont know the term to use)
I want to be able to play the game on a higher settings. Do you think any of those card could make a difference. Would my current cpu or board limit the gpu capabilities. Let me know if I miss out any info.

Tomb raider is the game that made me want to get a better gpu, The visuals on that is just amazing.
Thanks for looking, let me know if I miss out any info.

OP try and get the CPU to 3.6 - 3.8 Ghz. get a HD 7950. the best value for money is HD 7950 and a massive upgrade for you. close to 3x the perf of your HD 5770. get one of these cards.

A 7850 is faster than 2 5770's. My overclocked gtx 650ti is faster than 2 overclocked 6770's.

I went from a 5770 to a higher end 7850 that overclock well and have been pretty pleased. You need a bit more cpu to match it in my opinion, close to 4ghz as you can manage.
