Sorry, no I didn't create a proper pinout diagram. I couldn't find one either. So I just used a multimeter to see where each wire went in the original cables and matched the locations in my custom cables. For the 24-pin atx power, I counted the number of double wires (4 in total) and did thee same, used a multimeter to determine where they go based on the original cables that came with the ax860, and matched the location on my custom cable/connectors; I did everything on the fly, and did not record the wiring.

thanks.. that's what I planned to do actually.

+rep for telling me the number of double wires.. biggrin.gif

Hey, I really never seen a 900d mod with a DVD player. Literally stealthy. But I can't find the little rubber nudge thing!!!!!
Do you know like the proper name of that little thing?

The build is 90% complete. The only things left are to organize the cables in the back of the case and add a couple of acrylic pieces to cover the holes under the disc player and behind the pumps. I also want to stitch the sleeved cables together.

It was unnerving drilling the lightbox. I made sure everything was properly measured. The smell from drilling acrylic burned my nostrils. sicksmiley.png

I decided to move the reservoir to the right. I think things are better distributed in the case this way. I had to make a quick and easy bracket to hold it in place. I added a Bitspower flow sensor, mainly for looks as I already had it. Warning: this flow sensor has an audible clicking noise. I do not recommend it for that reason, and I will be removing it in the near future. Perhaps it is a defective unit.

I went into this round of acrylic bending fully confident. Truth is, I had to redo pieces many, many times. I guess I was exhausted and getting sloppy. Still, the second pump to rad piece isn't perfect and it tilted the pumps slightly forward.

This is one of the places where the light box attached to the case.

This bend is not as bad as it looks. The camera lens distorts it somehow. The Bitspower pass-through connectors were not long enough for the ColdZero lightbox, so I had to get creative with fittings and extenders.

I moved the Koolance flow meter to the bottom of the case. It has a high pitch noise that is better muffled when under the lightbox. I also added an inline Phobya temp sensor that I had laying around.

I wanted to be able to glance at the water temp without having to lean back to look at the front of the case (at the fan/temp display). So I got a cheap temp LCD display and looked for a visible place to put it inside the case. I decided for the HDD cage doors. I carved the plastic and came out OK.

After a couple of hours of leak test with distilled water - and no leaks! - I filled it with the Mayhem Pastel White. Here are some current build photos (I have a meager point and shoot that does no justice, the better low-light photos are actually from my Lumia phone smile.gif). Some photos were taken before I installed the temp LCD.

Mazinger Z celebrates the build, and later chills in his acrylic throne.

It worked!

Brilliant.

I just got an external USB 3 drive. Should have just modded it like you. thumb.gif

Hi, I'm not sure where the rubber nudge I used came from. I just had it laying around, I assume it was a tiny rubber foot or something... Anything can work. Sometimes I just peruse in the hardware area at Home Deop; they have some drawers label "Hard To Find" where you may find something that works. All you need to know is the thickness needed to reach the DVD player tray button, and use glue or double sticky take to attach the nudge/nipple. For the record I got the idea for a stealth DVD player from another 900D build here at OCN. biggrin.gif

Hey. Amazing update and love the back and white.

I think I'll have to search aroun Home Depot and show them your photo of the rubber nudge lol, after I find my spray paint cans...still deciding whether to get a black and gold theme or a black and white.
Have a z87 deluxe board that has gold, but idk how to change it so my build would be black and white..

Amazing build, I'm also working on my 900D. I'm taking lots of ideas from this and other builds in the forum.

How did you mount the Photon 270 Res?
Hello there,

May I ask; which tool did you use to safely, accurately and tidily cut the 900D front bay cover to stealth mod the fan controller? I am looking to do the same thing after having stealthed my Blu-ray burner into my 900D also.

I was thinking of using either a grinder & vice, or just clamps and a grinder bit for the drill - your thoughts? smile.gif

Regards,
Rozayz
