OK...after the 1st test playing Crysis 3 for 30mins i reached this results:
With the stock cooler and stock thermal grease my VTX HD7870 reached 75ºC with a lot of noise.
After this changed i reached:
--- 66ºC max temp (with the 2x cooler fans @ max rpm and the 2x intake case fans @ min rpm)
--- 65ºC max temp (with the 2x cooler fans @ max rpm and the 2x intake case fans @ max rpm too)
To be honest and regarding the max temps i tought that they could be a bit lower (despite the 10ºC less). In what concerns the noise im pretty satisfied with the results because even with the fans at max rpm there is a big diference between these new fans and the stock one...
The other thing that these results show to me is that my intake dont make to much diference on the GPU max temp if they are at max or min rpm. This might could be a sign that i need a bit more intake fresh air?
Actualy my intake is like these:
I am thinking replace one of the intake fans (the top one) for a Thermalright TY-140 because have 120mm mounting holes and could fit in the holes that i have and becuase i eard some good reviews about it too.
The exhaust fan im thinking maybe for a replacement too more because of the noise...and if i do that im thinking for a 120mm PWM fan with good airpressure and low rpm and noise (arround 14 dba). one like a Coolermaster PWM Fan 120mm:
I would apreciate some opinions about the temps reached with this new fans and an eventually change of the case fans...
Thanks in advance
