Friends PC keeps rebooting after new PSU

Thread Starter
Friend of mine bought some parts a few days ago. Everything worked fine until today.

He told me it started with his pc booting on its own. He shutdown the power after that. Today, his pc keeps rebooting at the bios screen with a different error each time.

He was thinking it'd be his new PSU (Seasonic G-650) but he placed his old PSU (corsair tx-650) back in and it gave him the same problem. He also bought new ssd's but it still gives him the same problem when he uses new stuff.

He placed all of this in a new case, a fractal R4, he had a corsair 700d before it.

He could try and take the whole PC apart and put it back together again

And do a fresh install of windows

If that does not work then something is broken

If i would have to take a guess i think the motherboard is broken but thats just a guess

Perhaps a cable is loose somewhere, I had a loose cable on my dvd drive that caused quite a few strange problems tongue.gif

You can test if it's the power supply itself making his computer go into a reboot cycle and not a dicey cable connection/unstable CPU/RAM/etc. by doing a "paperclip test".
